I just finished reading through the WordPress website about the first steps in creating a good blog.  It offers the following questions to answer before you start posting to your site:

1. What am I going to do with this?
2. Who is going to read this?
3. What kinds of information will I be posting?
4. Why am I doing this?
5. Who am I doing this for?
6. How often am I going to be posting and adding information?

Before I began this website I thought about questions similar to these.  What is my reason for creating this space?  Why would people want to know about my life?  Especially people who don’t know me personally.  I finally decided that the next steps in my life are fairly unique within my circle of friends and perhaps that means it will be interesting.  Maybe by sharing my life someone else will have an easier time doing the same thing.  In the end it doesn’t really matter why I write it.  As long as I get some personal satisfaction out of creating it.

Since it is still several weeks before I leave the United States I really do not have much to write about right now.  I have a lot going on, but nothing really interesting to write about.  Sorting through past memories and all the stuff associated with it.  As I get closer to moving day I would imagine I will have more interesting and relevant news to discuss.  Each day I get more excited than the last.

There are several things wrong or annoying with this WordPress theme. Here is the short list:

• It doesn’t seem to handle the month correctly in the calendar when switching between March and February.
• The sidebar widgets should slide down instead of being gaped.
• I find some of the color combination’s difficult to read on my chosen background.

I know this has nothing to do with my move to Germany, but I wanted to share it with my readers anyway. Being a web developer during the day I do not want someone to have the wrong impression about what they see. Only the content was created by me. I just don’t have the time to create a better home for you right now. After I move and things settle down I will create a different theme for your viewing pleasure.
